On Friday, I read The Important Book, by Margaret Wise Brown, to my third graders for another one of our end-of-the-year activities. After I finished, they each made their own important book about themselves and decorated and colored them. We will be sharing these with each other on Monday. Take a peek at the great work they put into these cute little books!

Making Memories
Since next week is our last week of school, I wanted my third (soon-to-be-fourth) graders to have something to look back on and remember their last several months in my classroom. I started looking around for a some sort of reflection book and came across Hope King's Third Grade Memory Books here. They are ADORABLE! I printed them out and my class got right to work! Check out how they turned out!
My students had a blast writing down their memories and decorating them with stickers. This way, they will have something to remember their year by, and they can see how much has changed.

Christmas in May
Obviously these pictures are a few months late, but I just had to share these adorable Christmas ornaments I handmade for my kiddos this year. Kudos to Jessica over at Juicy Bits who came up with this super simple pattern! http://juicy-bits.typepad.com/juicy_bits/2009/12/131-give-a-hoot-for-the-holidays.html

Making Memories
This is a little project I decided to do with my third graders, and it happened to work out wonderfully since this is my first class. I will be able to add my students' fingerprints to the tree each year in a new color. What a special way to remember each and every student you teach. :)
Welcome!
Welcome to my teacher blog! I am very excited to begin this new journey in the blogging world, and hope that you will join me on my new venture!
